YouTuber STORMS Draft Stage Then NFL BANS Him

A 24-year-old YouTube personality with two million subscribers received a lifetime ban from all NFL games and events after rushing the stage at the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh to announce a fake draft pick during the third round on Friday night.

Fake Credentials Lead to Draft Disruption

Fred Beyer infiltrated the NFL Draft through a staff entrance using a counterfeit credential he created at a Staples copy center. Wearing a black polo shirt bearing the Pittsburgh Steelers logo, Beyer climbed onto the stage as the Las Vegas Raiders prepared to make the 67th overall selection. He grabbed the microphone and began announcing before production staff cut his audio and ordered him off stage. Beyer managed to shout that the Steelers had selected “Luke Maxer” before security intervened. Steelers defensive lineman Cam Hayward witnessed the incident from the stage and reportedly asked if he should have tackled the intruder.

Arrest Threat and League-Wide Expulsion

NFL representatives escorted Beyer backstage for questioning, where they confiscated his fake credential. When officials discovered Beyer had provided a false identity, they summoned police. Before his removal from the venue, an NFL representative handed Beyer a ban letter requiring his signature. The document stated he faced indefinite expulsion from all NFL facilities and warned that any future appearance at league events would result in immediate arrest. Beyer documented the entire episode in a 19-minute YouTube video titled “Trolling the NFL Draft.” One officer requested a photograph with Beyer after completing the escort.

Elaborate Scheme Tied to Running Back Rivalry

Beyer claimed his motivation stemmed from an encounter with former All-Pro Steelers running back LeVeon Bell, who allegedly “ducked” him in a one-on-one competition four months earlier. To avoid recognition, Beyer grew facial hair and gained nine and a half pounds before the draft. Despite these precautions, fans still approached him for photographs. The YouTuber stated he knew his actions would likely result in jail time. The NFL has not announced whether it will pursue additional legal action beyond the lifetime ban for the security breach at one of professional football’s premier annual events.
