Driver STOPS To Help Then Gets WRECKED

A Central Florida driver who stopped to help what appeared to be an injured motorist was brutally attacked and hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, raising serious questions about the risks facing Good Samaritans on American roadways.

Fake Crash Victim Launches Vicious Attack

Hans Hamilton pulled over on the 429 Expressway near Walt Disney World on April 7, 2026, after spotting a white Lexus that had struck a guardrail. The driver, 44-year-old Daniel Coman, appeared motionless in the grass beside his vehicle. The moment Hamilton stepped from his Tesla to help, Coman sprang up and charged the vehicle. Dashboard cameras captured Coman jumping onto the Tesla’s hood and roof, shattering the windshield, before tackling Hamilton to the ground and beating him for nearly thirty seconds.

Hamilton suffered a brain bleed, concussion, and four broken ribs from the unprovoked assault. He escaped only by striking Coman in the throat during the attack. When Orange County deputies arrived, Coman attacked the officer in what the arrest report described as an aggressive fighting manner. Hamilton, despite his severe injuries, helped deputies wrestle his attacker to the ground for arrest.

Suspect Linked to Multiple Incidents

Investigators connected Coman to a separate hit-and-run crash two miles south and flagged him as a suspect in another similar incident from earlier that morning. He faces charges including battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting with violence, assault, battery, and criminal mischief. Despite prosecutors requesting no bond, a judge set bail at just five thousand dollars. Coman claimed to speak only Spanish to deputies, though he had spoken English to Hamilton minutes earlier.

Family Faces Financial Crisis

Hamilton’s family, who lives paycheck to paycheck, now confronts overwhelming medical bills and auto repair costs through no fault of their own. A GoFundMe campaign has been established to help cover expenses. Hamilton warned others about the dangers he faced, stating the person tried to kill him and expressing concern for other potential victims. The incident highlights growing concerns about roadside safety and whether citizens should risk personal intervention or simply call 911 and wait for professional first responders to arrive.

  1. This is where I would had a problem, I would not expected that , and would have stopped to help the driver. It is a shame the world has gotten in this kind of shape that we may have to pass a real injured person up to call 911 without giving assistance or at least comfort.
