Repeat Offender Targets Police Station Flag
Wilber Geovany Orejel-Noguera was taken into custody after a sergeant from the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office witnessed him lowering the flag at the South Lake Tahoe Police Department and attempting to burn it. The arrest came less than 24 hours after his release from the El Dorado County Jail in Placerville, where he had been held for possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication. Authorities had originally detained him Saturday after reports of him shooting arrows at the Y intersection, where Highway 50 meets Highway 89.

The 36-year-old has accumulated six prior arrests since April on charges including possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, being under the influence of a controlled substance, and resisting arrest.
