Second Shooting Claims Life on Nicollet Avenue

Minneapolis police responded to gunfire at 8:20 p.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of Nicollet Avenue, discovering five wounded men scattered outside a business. A 28-year-old victim transported to Hennepin Healthcare with life-threatening injuries later died from his wounds. Four other men, ages 24, 26, 36, and 43, sustained injuries ranging from critical to non-life-threatening conditions. Nine people—seven men and two women between ages 18 and 27—suffered gunshot wounds in that incident. Two men remain hospitalized in life-threatening condition.
