Historic Black Cemetery DESECRATED With TRUMP AND DESANTIS NAMES

Florida authorities are investigating the desecration of at least 17 gravesites at a historic Black cemetery in Tampa, where vandals toppled headstones and spray-painted them with the names ‘Trump’ and ‘DeSantis.’ The attack targeted the Old Memphis Cemetery, a sacred resting place for generations of African American families dating back over a century.

Details of the Cemetery Attack

The vandalism occurred at the Old Memphis Cemetery located at 202 25th Street West in the Palmetto neighborhood of South Tampa. Investigators discovered multiple headstones knocked over and defaced with political graffiti. The cemetery holds significant historical importance as a predominantly Black burial ground, with some graves belonging to World War II veterans and other community members who helped build the region’s African American heritage. Families with loved ones buried at the site expressed anger and distress over the deliberate destruction of their ancestors’ final resting places.

Investigation Continues

Florida law enforcement officials continue working to identify those responsible for the cemetery desecration. The use of political names in the vandalism raises questions about the motives behind the attack, though authorities have not yet released information about potential suspects or whether the incident is being investigated as a hate crime. Cemetery vandalism carries serious criminal penalties in Florida, including felony charges for damaging graves or memorial markers. The deliberate targeting of a historic Black cemetery adds another dimension to the investigation as officials work to determine if the crime meets criteria for enhanced charges.

Community Impact and Historical Significance

The Old Memphis Cemetery represents an irreplaceable piece of Tampa’s African American history. Many of the damaged headstones marked graves of individuals who lived through segregation and contributed to their community despite facing discrimination. Family members now face the emotional and financial burden of repairing or replacing damaged markers for their ancestors. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about the preservation and protection of historic Black cemeteries across the South, many of which have suffered from neglect or deliberate destruction. Community leaders are calling for increased security measures and enhanced penalties for those who desecrate these sacred historical sites that serve as tangible connections to the past.

  1. Democrats will sink to the lowest levels to try to fool people. 99% of Republicans know BS when they see it!!!

  2. This sounds like the Southern Poverty Law Center up to old tricks. You know the group paying people to march around dressed like Nazis so they could babble about racism.

  3. Would be wonderful if Trump and DeSantis helped the families fix the damage. A supporter would know how to spell the names correctly. It sounds like Democrat Liberals sending a message to stop Black movement towards Conservatives. Like Obama did in Virginia demanding White liberals win over Black Conservatives running for office. That took 3 Black politicians to the curb. NAACP is demanding more Blacks take office but only if they are Democrats.

    • Trump and DeSantis should not have to pay to clean up, repair, or replace damaged property that they had nothing to do with. The criminals who did this should be found, prosecuted, made to repair, etc. and then be locked in jail.

  4. The people need to take back there voice and the government should pay to fix the graves. I feel we are allowing the government to walk all over us.

  5. Funny people accusing Trump supporters of doing this ,ever think their names were put on the stones for another reason.. If President Trump was given awareness about this he would most likely help pay for it if not all of it. But why should he have to, he didn’t do it. To me it should be the people that did it paying for it. Why don’t you go ask the democrats that brain wash these people to pay for the damage they did. A Trump supporter would not do damage like this to get attention, that is only the other side that does that, then they make it look like I didn;t do that.

  6. I believe it is just a shame! Really awful that people resorted to that! No matter who we are . We all have loved ones that have passed away and should never be forgotten. What has this Country become?

  7. I would think this could be considered a “hate crime(s)”. I’m not black, but it’s just wrong to desecrate a grave, ANY grave. Bet whoever did this had cell phone’s and there are way’s of matching coordinates with time’s and phone owners that would narrow down suspects. Some people/groups aren’t happy unless they can start shit.

  8. Same story different day. Black kids doing what black kids with no daddy do. Arrest the baby mamma and throw away the keys.

  9. Yes, match the cell phone coordinates with time’s and phone owners to catch the racist criminals who did this.
