DEA raids generally involve drugs and drug dealers. Drug dealers believe it or not are usually armed to protect their product, drugs! That’s why agents are heavily armed! What a concept, huh? Drug dealers hide in residential neighborhoods to avoid detection! Hence, agents have to conduct raids in residential neighborhoods.
Why not try and be logical instead of trying to down DEA Agents! Oh, that doesn’t fit the liberal agenda, does it?

I had one next door at 6 am. Along with 2 firetrucks. I talked with the woman later that day and she said her boyfriend was cooking Meth and turned him in. We live in a very rural town in NC. A place you wouldn’t expect. I’m happy the scum got caught! She moved elsewhere with her kids.
Amen to the previous comments. Why is it that law enforcement is immediately the bad guy these days without any supporting evidence? No wonder nobody with any common sense believes the news anymore.

Whether or not it happened in a middle class, quiet neighborhood the law was still being broken. Drugs were being distributed and harming american citizens… There’s a reason the criminals picked a middle class neighborhood. They’re quiet and not necessarily patrolled by police because of low crime and people mind their business…. DEA does not make a move without enough proof. If you break a law, you have certain rights. You have the right to remain silent.You have the right to an attorney, you have the right to a proper legal search, you have the right to a phone call, you have the right to remain innocent until proven guilty. You do not have the right to be protected, because you’re in a middle class neighborhood and the neighbors might mind the disruption. I mind more that they may be selling drugs to the children in the neighborhood or grooming them to sell drugs at school, or in the neighborhood. But nobody’s talks about that point. All they talk about are the criminals’ rights. What about the victim’s rights? What about those that are being harmed? Do you ever think about that issue? Do you ever think about the risk to which DEA agents or any police officer or other federal agents expose themselves to on a daily basis to prevent the creation of victims. You would be better off just reporting this story and leaving your conjecture out of it. You are misled that the american public is stupid. Report the facts, and we can make out our own minds about what happened and how we feel about it.
To all the previous comments…these are very poignant and prescient thoughts and concepts. My whole understanding of the “War on Drugs” is NOT necessarily a war on drugs, but the “War of Drugs” ever since the Nixon administration and classification regarding drug scheduling. Now let’s think about this realistically and without any biases…we occupied Afghanistan for about 20 years. Why is it that during that occupation, the cultivation of opium set record levels? If there really was a “War on Drugs” there should have been NOT been 1 poppy plant growing. Now let’s go South of our border to South America. Since most of the world’s coca plants grow in Colombia, wouldn’t it be prudent to have “kidnapped” that country’s leader, Petro, if we want to really get to the “ROOT” of the problem concerning narcotics? It just seems pragmatic, if one is REALLY fighting this “War on Drugs”. Now… I’m not for or against legalizing drugs. That’s up to the lawmakers and politicians. But what I am trying to reiterate and make clear… the fact that we have opiate receptors in our brains that act like a lock and key mechanism when substances grown naturally are carboxylated, and the result is our brain receptors uptake these plants chemicals, it is quite clear and convincing to me, that we were designed this way and given dominion over all the plants and creeping things upon “ear”th. Seems to me there is a designer here with a “plan”. Now, if we could just figure out what that “plan” is here on this “plan”et? Is it for sentient beings uplifting to their most highest state, or a denigration or command and control of “ear”th’s inhabitants?
