TEAR GAS And Mounted Police Move In As TENSIONS EXPLODE

A protester at an anti-ICE demonstration in Newark, New Jersey sustained injuries during a confrontation with state police on Saturday night, as law enforcement deployed tear gas and smoke bombs to disperse crowds that had gathered outside the Delaney Hall detention facility for multiple consecutive days.

Police Deploy Force to Control Crowd

State troopers responded to escalating tensions at the ICE detention facility by using crowd control measures including tear gas, smoke bombs, and mounted police units. Independent journalist Oliya Scootercaster documented the scene as officers moved through the area on horseback, pushing back demonstrators who had assembled near the facility. Video footage captured by Scootercaster showed one protester displaying visible injuries, including red marks on his torso, which he claimed resulted from the police response during the confrontation.

The injured man was filmed showing his wounds to others at the scene, making graphic statements about the nature of his injuries. The incident occurred as part of ongoing protests that have persisted at the Newark location over recent days, drawing law enforcement attention and resources to maintain order and protect the federal facility from potential damage or security breaches.

Well-Funded Operation Behind Demonstrations

Independent journalist Nick Sortor previously documented extensive infrastructure supporting the protest encampment at the Newark site. His investigation revealed what he described as tens of thousands of dollars worth of equipment, food supplies, and protective gear available to demonstrators. According to reports, hot meals were being delivered to protesters on an hourly basis, suggesting significant organizational backing and financial resources funding the ongoing demonstrations. The level of organization and material support has raised questions about which groups or entities are coordinating and bankrolling the multi-day protest operation.

Law Enforcement Response and Broader Context

The clash between protesters and state police reflects growing tensions surrounding federal immigration enforcement facilities across the country. New Jersey state troopers faced the challenge of managing crowds while protecting government property and maintaining public safety in the surrounding area. The deployment of mounted units and chemical dispersants indicates authorities viewed the situation as requiring substantial force to bring under control. The incident adds to a broader national conversation about protest tactics, law enforcement responses, and the boundaries of civil demonstration at federal facilities, particularly those involved in immigration enforcement operations.

  1. Protestors sign a silent waiver for any injuries sustained when they cross the line of trespassing, violence, destruction. They deserve what they get. Maybe they should go home and get a real job. Those funding these protests deserve worse.

  2. Allow them to take a rapist or murderer home with them.

They would have to be secured in a manner in which they could not leave the home.

  3. send in the troops this is federal! lock them all up for obstruction stop playing their little game this is going to turn into a blood bath if allowed to continue ICE is federal law enforcement not their play toy!

  4. Seems local, state authorities and media are all on the protesters’ side. Hopefully the feds step in before another one of those stupid protester get hurt or killed and the media swarm all over Trump, DHS, HHS blaming them for the killing when it’s the protesters that are at fault. When is the IRS, DOJ or DHS going to find out the names of the people, corporations, group that fund the protesters and put them in jail? Chop off the head of the snake and it dies. Wonder how many snakes are funding the protesters?

  5. When they finally get their communist islanmic utopia then there new leaders will show them what happens to protesters. Ask 40,000 Iranians.

  6. The enablers need to be shut down. The herd of protesters will thin naturally and considerably when they loose equipment, water, food, protective gear, hot meals, all of the support mechanisms. Go after the jugular of the organizational backers. THEY are the problem…….THEY are the enablers.
