Mother Removed Evidence Before Police Arrived

Kiran Kaur, mother of convicted murderer Vickrum Digwa, received a call from her son after he fatally stabbed Henry Nowak. Kaur and her husband arrived at the scene before law enforcement officers. While Nowak was still bleeding from his wounds, Kaur took the murder weapon from the location and transported it to the family residence in St. Denys, where she concealed it from authorities. Police later recovered the knife during their investigation.

A jury found Kaur guilty of assisting an offender by removing and hiding the murder weapon. The conviction came after prosecutors presented evidence showing her deliberate actions to obstruct the investigation. She currently awaits sentencing for her role in the cover-up attempt.
