I personally feel the Mother was justified for shooting this 20 year old male even though the daughter invited this 20 year old male into the Mothers home. The daughter was previously warned, & she disregarded her mother requirements!
To me, this was not in my opinion pre-meditated Murder. Mrs. Scott was protecting her home and had indicated the mandatory requirement to her daughter! The Daughter was instructed not to invite this male into the mothers home! I am sure the daughter passed this requirement on to the 20 year old male, mandating this requirement by the daughters mother! I personally feel the mother was justified in shooting this 20 year old male into her home without the mothers permission. To me, this male should be considered a predator. I also feel the daughter who caused this problem, should be put into jail for a minimum of five years in creating this problem!

Shooting is not justified. She didn’t catch the very young (20) man in bed RAPING her daughter. Her daughter INVITED him to the house, which suggests she was UNSUPERVISED and also not well raised. (I raised a daughter BTW, and that never would have happened…) The man was fleeing the house, so since he was leaving, why shoot him? He was no longer a ‘threat’, and he likely never was, since HER DAUGHTER INVITED him! Seems she never had control of her daughter in the first place. She apparently expected her precocious (and perhaps promiscuous) daughter to invite men into the home while she was by herself, unsupervised, which is why she said she’d shoot any man her daughter let in. Strange that she didn’t threaten to beat her daughter’s ass for her bad behavior. Instead, she threatened to kill, then she actually did.
I think you failed to list the steps needed to be taken. Had I found a “MALE” under MY daughters bed , UNINVITED BY ME,
he would suffer the same . AFTER I found out that she “had invited” the “male under the bed” and in MY HOUSE, she would receive a severe punishment phase. The daughter DOES NOT OWN my house/apartment/rental unit , therefore , her “INVITATION” isn’t valid. It matters not, what the age of the daughter. It is the name on the contract that matters.

This is tragic, there is NOT enough information here for anyone to form any type of opinion at this time and I feel it’s wrong to do so at this time !
Mom was wrong. It seems the guy was leaving. The daughter knew how her mother felt about men in the house. It was wrong in so many ways. I would have been angry, but Mom went way beyond that. She needs to go down for 1st degree murder.

This should be used as a example of what should/could happen to any male found in a parent’s home at that hour. Invited or not. He was there for one reason. We all know why he was there. He knew he should not be there or he wouldn’t have hid. Totally his fault. The man has no morals and no respect for that girl or her parents. Seems to me his values would have kept him from going inside that house. He wasn’t there to do anything that would get him into heaven.. Just my opinion…
