Los Angeles police arrested a man and his dog Saturday night after the intruder was caught trespassing at a Hollywood Hills residence owned by actress Nia Long, though the property is occupied by her adult son rather than the star herself.

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department descended on the Outpost Drive residence at 9:40 p.m. following reports of a burglary in progress. Dramatic footage captured the suspect standing at the front entrance as police commanded him to surrender. The man complied with orders, descending the stairs before lying face-down on the driveway. Officers quickly moved in to handcuff the trespasser while another officer led his dog away on a leash.

The property belongs to Long but serves as the residence of her eldest son, Massai Dorsey II, whom she shares with former fiancé and actor Massai Z. Dorsey. Following the incident, Dorsey II was observed in the driveway area, appearing to coordinate with responding officers and making phone calls about the situation.

Long maintains ownership of the Hollywood Hills mansion but does not reside at the location. The 1990s film icon recently portrayed Katherine Jackson in the 2026 Michael Jackson biographical film titled “Michael.” Her decision to keep the property for her son’s use while living elsewhere reflects a common practice among Hollywood families who maintain multiple residential properties in the Los Angeles area for family members.
