Portland Party TURNS Deadly — Gunmen Vanish

An 18-year-old man died and five others suffered gunshot wounds, including a 15-year-old boy, when a house party in Portland’s Cully neighborhood erupted into gunfire during the early morning hours of Sunday, leaving investigators searching for suspects in a case involving dozens of rounds fired across multiple city blocks.

From Noise Complaint to Mass Shooting Scene

Portland Police Bureau officers responded to reports of gunfire at a residence in the 5800 block of Northeast Alberta Street at approximately 3:33 a.m. Sunday. Officers discovered two people with serious injuries during their initial sweep of the property. Emergency responders transported both victims to a local hospital by ambulance, where one died from his wounds. Four additional shooting victims arrived at area hospitals in private vehicles shortly after the incident occurred.

The shooting location was the same address where police had responded to a noise complaint just hours earlier. Officers arrived at the residence around 9:30 p.m. Saturday evening after neighbors reported a large gathering at the property. According to authorities, attendees cooperated with officers, and many people voluntarily departed the premises. When police cleared the scene around 12:30 a.m., approximately twelve individuals remained at the house.

Massive Crime Scene and Ballistic Evidence

Sergeant Kevin Allen from the Portland Police Bureau revealed that preliminary forensic analysis indicates dozens of rounds were discharged across several neighborhood blocks. The extensive nature of the crime scene required forensic investigators and detectives to remain on location throughout Sunday afternoon, collecting evidence and documenting the shooting aftermath. Portland Police Chief Bob Day publicly expressed sorrow over the violent incident and issued an urgent appeal for witnesses to provide information to investigators.

Search for Witnesses and Suspects Continues

Authorities believe numerous individuals witnessed events before and during the shooting. All five surviving victims are expected to recover from their injuries, according to police statements. No arrests have been made, and investigators have not released suspect descriptions or potential motives for the shooting. The Portland Police Bureau is requesting anyone with information regarding Case Number 26-224255 to contact them through their online reporting system. The investigation remains active as detectives work to determine what transformed a cooperative dispersal into a deadly shooting scene within three hours.
