Elizabeth Rodriguez and her husband were driving home to Cherryville Friday night after watching Charlotte FC win at Bank of America Stadium when another driver rear-ended their vehicle on Brookshire Boulevard near the Interstate 85 South ramp. The driver of the red car attempted to flee the scene, but when Rodriguez caught up in traffic to photograph the license plate, the situation turned dangerous. Without warning, the woman exited her vehicle and began beating on Rodriguez’s windows while screaming profanities.

Rodriguez immediately locked her doors and called 911 while recording the attack on video. The footage shows the unidentified woman kicking and striking the vehicle repeatedly, leaving multiple dents across the car’s exterior. Rodriguez told reporters she feared the woman might retrieve a weapon when she returned to her own vehicle. The attacker fled before police arrived at the scene.
