A woman walking through a West Seattle neighborhood was robbed and physically assaulted by a group of men who escaped before police arrived, forcing the injured victim to seek medical treatment on her own at a local urgent care facility.

Officers Arrive to Empty Crime Scene

Seattle Police Department officers responded to a robbery in progress call in the 4500 block of 42nd Avenue Southwest on Friday evening. When patrol units arrived at the residential location, they found neither suspects nor the victim at the scene. The attackers had fled with stolen property, and the woman had already left the area despite her injuries from the assault.

The department confirmed that multiple male suspects participated in the attack, though specific descriptions of the perpetrators were not immediately released.
