This is what happens to children that are not raised properly. They do not learn to be obedient they are taught to be spoiled. They do not learn the resuclt of bad behavior and the consequences that comes with their actions. Those police gave that kid several comands that he completely ignored. Thats what happens when parents don’t do their job. I put this on the parents.

I believe in rare cases like this one where the kid seems out of it and although i am a gun advocate there could be another way to first use a 12 gauge shotgun that fires Bean Bags. Now I did see that the police involved waited until he walked towards them and didn’t fire until he raised his gun. Police Departments need to issue theses non-lethal weapons (12ga shotguns w/ bean bags) that they can use IF they do have backup on scene. i FEEL BAD FOR THE FAMILY BUT ALSO THE POLICE OFFICERS THE FIRED THEIR WEAPONS as this will haunt Both the family and the officers, as some people can’t understand this. So, the next time one of these officers might hold back even a few seconds during a deadly situation that may cost another officers life, so ladies and gentlemen it goes both ways.

Why couldn’t an officer wearing protective armor equipment have walked up to the youth and disarm him? Such a move could have resulted in a spared life and no real remorse after the fact.
And the officer could have been shot in the head.
Where did he get the gun? If he was under age or had mental problems, that thing should have been locked up. If it was his parent’s gun. The cops weren’t at fault. They can’t wait to see if the guy would shoot before they shot. They would be dead. If it was a toy gun or something else, it’s still not their fault. At the end of the day, they would like to go home to their families.

The bean bag gun is a good solution as well. Obviously these must be deployed early on. There are many more cases of mental disabilities than ever before.
There needs to be more training for these cases and alternative solutions, for a best case scenario outcome.
If we can dart an animal why not use something similar in these cases.
