Violent protesters targeted a Minneapolis hotel Sunday night, believing federal immigration officers were staying there, resulting in property damage and one bloodied federal agent.
Hotel Under Siege
Anti-ICE demonstrators swarmed the Home2 Suites by Hilton Hotel late Sunday, smashing windows and spray-painting messages including “ICE OUT” and “ICE KILLS” across the building’s exterior. The mob hurled objects at people inside the lobby and attempted to force entry, prompting those inside to barricade the entrance using two large vending machines. Protesters banged trash cans, slammed snow shovels, and used strobe lights to disturb anyone sleeping inside.
Last night in Minneapolis, anti-ICE anarchist agitators targeted a hotel where they believed DHS law enforcement was staying. This is part of a coordinated campaign of violence against law enforcement.

One man trapped inside shouted at the crowd, “We’re all locals! You guys are doing this for no reason.” The demonstration escalated when protesters shoved a Minneapolis Police Department officer and others in the hotel lobby. Federal agents later arrived in an armored vehicle, deploying tear gas and flash-bangs to disperse the crowd. At least two people were arrested during the confrontation.
Recent Tensions Escalate
The hotel protest occurred one day after Border Patrol agents fatally shot Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old ICU nurse at a veterans hospital. Federal officials claim Pretti rushed officers with a gun, though bystander videos show him holding only his phone. Viral footage appears to show an agent removing a pistol from Pretti’s waistband before ten gunshots killed him. Pretti legally carried the concealed weapon with proper permits.
🚨 BREAKING: THOUSANDS of leftist degenerates are making endless EARDRUM-SHATTERING NOISE outside a hotel in Downtown Minneapolis thinking they’re keeping ICE awake
But I have bad news for them…

Pattern of Violence
This marks the second similar incident following the January shooting of Renee Nicole Good by ICE agents. After Good’s death, hundreds of protesters targeted another Minneapolis hotel where they believed immigration officers were staying. Good allegedly tried to weaponize her vehicle against officers she had been following before being shot four times by ICE agent Jonathan Ross. Federal law enforcement presence has increased significantly in the Twin Cities as the Trump administration addresses alleged welfare fraud schemes involving Somali immigrants, intensifying local tensions.
