Man JUMPS On Moving Cars At 40 MPH

A man jumped onto moving vehicles traveling at 40 miles per hour on a major Sacramento area street, clinging to cars and attempting to force doors open before California Highway Patrol officers arrested him on multiple charges.

Chaos on Watt Avenue

The incident unfolded around 9:00 a.m. on Watt Avenue near North Sacramento as the suspect leaped between vehicles in traffic. Witness Daryl Guevarra captured multiple videos showing the man hanging from the passenger side of a white Mercedes, then clinging to a black SUV at an intersection, and finally jumping on top of a black four-door sedan traveling at highway speeds. California Highway Patrol officers arrested the suspect at Watt and Marconi avenues at approximately 9:15 a.m.

Witness Confronts Dangerous Suspect

Guevarra’s footage captures the escalating situation as he follows the suspect through multiple intersections. In one video, timestamped at 8:57 a.m., Guevarra exclaims while trailing behind a vehicle with the man on top. The witness eventually stopped his vehicle to confront the suspect directly, asking what he was doing. California Highway Patrol confirmed the man was attempting to open vehicle doors while drivers were operating their cars, creating a severe public safety hazard on the busy thoroughfare over Interstate 80.

Multiple Warrants Add to Charges

Officers discovered the suspect already had two outstanding arrest warrants from jurisdictions outside the Sacramento area when they took him into custody. California Highway Patrol booked him into jail on two additional charges related to Tuesday morning’s vehicle-jumping incident. The arrest ended a dangerous situation that could have resulted in serious injuries or fatalities for both the suspect and innocent drivers navigating morning traffic on one of Sacramento’s major arterial roads. Authorities have not released the suspect’s identity or specified what charges he faces.

  1. I may sound a bit callous!!! but one just has to look and wonder WHY ?? You can not always revert to bad upbringing , poor life , wrong group associations etc ? Most cases bring it upon themselves to start with then blame all others for their problem ! Then on the other hand just observe what the system is . Chemicals in food , Govt , Media , Medications , yes there are a lot of questions and NO answers ..Just Saying .

  2. He’s just a criminal trying to steal a vehicle. A future Darwin Award winner.

Always lock your doors when you’re in your car. This is one reason why.
