Federal agents discovered an illegal biological laboratory in a Las Vegas home, uncovering refrigerators filled with vials containing unknown liquids and suspected biological materials in a case that connects to a previous federal investigation in California.
FBI and Police Uncover Disturbing Materials
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the FBI executed a search warrant at a property near Washington Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard. Sheriff Kevin McMahill confirmed investigators found evidence of possible biological material, including refrigerators containing vials with unidentified liquids. What began as a routine code violation call escalated when authorities suspected medical-type biological research materials were being stored illegally at the residence, prompting the Joint Terrorism Task Force to assume control of the investigation.

Property records reveal the home belongs to David Destiny Discovery, LLC, a business registered to David He through Nevada’s Secretary of State Office. At least one person was arrested Saturday, identified by ABC News as a property manager, though authorities have not released the individual’s name. Clark County Detention Center records show no inmates listed under David He or related aliases.
Connection to California Federal Case
David He and his business entity were previously named in a federal investigation involving an illegal biological laboratory in Reedley, California, near Fresno. Federal prosecutors identified David He as an alias for Jia Bei Zhu, who faced arrest and charges in October 2023, connected to the California warehouse operation. That facility was linked to the illegal manufacturing of medical test kits, including unauthorized COVID-19, HIV, and pregnancy tests, according to court documents.
Fresno County Public Health Department staff documented disturbing discoveries at the California location, including blood, tissue, and other bodily fluid samples, plus thousands of vials containing unlabeled fluids and suspected biological materials. The scope of that operation raised serious questions about public health and safety protocols.

Expanding Investigation Across Multiple Sites
Investigators are currently examining twenty additional locations to determine potential connections to the Las Vegas search. Sheriff McMahill reported that nothing concerning has been discovered at these other sites thus far. Las Vegas police are committed to updating the public about the ongoing investigation in the coming days as federal and local authorities work to determine the full extent of any illegal biological operations and assess potential public health risks from the discovered materials.
