Driver ESCAPES Road Rage Attacker Clinging to Moving SUV

A 49-year-old man was arrested after shocking video captured him hanging from the side of a moving SUV during a violent road rage incident in San Francisco’s Richmond neighborhood, his feet dangling as the terrified driver attempted to escape.

Violent Confrontation Unfolds on California Street

Alfredo SalvioOrozco faces multiple charges after the June incident on California Street. Video footage shows him running around a black Toyota RAV4, pounding on the hood, and clinging to the driver’s side window while the vehicle was in motion. His own sedan remained stopped in the middle of the road with the driver’s door wide open as the chaotic scene unfolded. Witnesses captured the entire confrontation, with bystanders expressing shock and urgency as they watched the dangerous situation develop in broad daylight.

According to video reviewed by local media, SalvioOrozco threw objects at the SUV and verbally attacked the driver before physically assaulting the vehicle. Pedestrians watched in horror as the incident escalated. One witness can be heard yelling on the recording, demanding others call 911 while expressing fear that the man was being run over. The footage clearly shows the suspect’s aggressive behavior as he refused to let the SUV driver leave the scene.

Criminal Charges Filed

Prosecutors charged SalvioOrozco with three serious offenses: vandalism, making criminal threats, and throwing an object at a vehicle with intent to cause great bodily injury. The San Francisco Criminal Court reviewed the evidence on June 25 and determined sufficient probable cause existed to move forward with the case. Despite the violent nature of the charges and video evidence showing his aggressive actions, court records reveal SalvioOrozco was released on his own recognizance without posting any monetary bail.

Growing Road Rage Crisis

This incident highlights the escalating problem of road rage confrontations in major California cities. The decision to release the suspect without bail raises questions about public safety policies and accountability for violent behavior on public streets. The SUV driver, whose identity has not been released, managed to escape without reported injuries. San Francisco authorities have not indicated whether additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues into what sparked the confrontation between the two motorists.
