Early Morning Terror on Wainwright Street
The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 4 a.m. on November 19, 2025. Four residents inside the Wainwright Street home woke to the sound of gunshots and immediately checked their surveillance cameras. The footage revealed four masked and hooded suspects attempting to force entry while firing weapons at the residence.
Investigators documented extensive damage across the property. Six rounds penetrated the front window of the home. Four of those bullets continued their trajectory through an interior wall, entering the bedroom where the child slept. The garage sustained additional strikes in what deputies described as an indiscriminate assault on the occupied dwelling.
Cross-County Investigation Nets Three Suspects
Detectives identified three individuals through surveillance footage and forensic evidence: James Cropper, 19, Jamar Battle, 19, and Edrice Brantley, 15. All three suspects hail from Orlando and now face charges related to the shooting and attempted burglary. Authorities recovered a stolen getaway vehicle using license plate reader technology, tracking it to Orlando where additional fingerprint evidence linked the trio to the crime scene.
The investigation revealed gang connections originating in the Orlando area before extending to Deltona. The Sheriff’s Office has not disclosed the specific gang affiliation or what motivated the targeted attack on the Deltona residence. The family has since relocated from the property, unable to return to a home riddled with bullet holes.
Manhunt Continues for Fourth Suspect
Miguel Alberto Nunez Albrincole, 33, of Kissimmee remains at large despite an arrest warrant issued earlier this month. Authorities believe he played a key role in the home invasion attempt. Nunez Albrincole faces charges of shooting into an occupied dwelling, attempted armed burglary, and armed burglary of a vehicle. His last known address was the 19 South Apartments in Kissimmee, though his current location remains unknown.
Investigators report Nunez Albrincole originally came from the Dominican Republic. The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact law enforcement immediately. The case highlights growing concerns about gang activity spreading from urban centers into suburban communities, putting families at risk in their own homes.
